Pyjama Day

It was so fun and exciting to see everyone dressed up in their P.J’s! We had a parade at the start of the day so we could see the whole school dressed up! We also got to eat yummy pies at lunch! Thanks Student Council for an awesome day!

The Parsnip that didn't want to come out!

What an exciting afternoon we had in our garden! We went out to weed and water it and discovered it was time to pick our Parsnip. Wow! What a mission it was! Miss McCartin and Mrs Stroud had to dig it up with a spade! It did NOT want to come out! After lots of digging we finally got our two massive parsnips. We cut them up into pieces and roasted them. Yummy! They tasted crunchy like chips and we gobbled them up in seconds!

 

Our Past

This term we are learning about our personal past. We are finding out about the history of our family, differences and similarities between our childhood and our parents/grandparents, and how stories are told and remembered.

This is one of the activities we have done so far. After reading this book as a class we were put into groups of 3 and brainstormed what things were like ‘then’ to ‘now’. We found out that a lot has changed! We are looking forward to interviewing our parents and grandparents to find out more about their childhoods.

 

Happy Mother's Day

We made these for our special mums! We painted our hand green for the stem, cut out the flowers and wrote about why we love our mum in the vase.
