When Room 5 visited Whanganui Museum they
learnt how to make a small taonga puoro called a porotiti. They decided to
share their learning with us. In pairs we used a template to cut the shape out
of thick cardboard, then we drilled some small holes for the string, and
finally we selected and drew some maori art designs on them. We really enjoyed making
these with our buddy class.
