Hockey

On Friday afternoon we had students from Feilding High School come and teach us how to play Hockey. We had lots of warm ups then they taught us skills like how to hold the stick correctly, how to glue the ball to the stick and push it, not hit it, and how to keep our stick on the ground. Afterwards we got to have a game! It was great fun! Thanks Feilding High School, we really enjoyed playing Hockey!

What an amazing surprise we had today!  The Westpac Rescue Helicopter landed on our school field. Last year we supported them by fundraising and today we gave it to the helicopter team. It was awesome to see it land and take off! Thanks for always helping those in need Rescue Helicopter!

We were very lucky to have Mrs O’Donnell come in and share some of her stories with us from when she was a child. She showed us her old school bag, some photos and even her ink pen that she used to write with! It was amazing to see how she used to write at school.

Art

As part of our unit on ‘Our Past’, we did an observational drawing of an old radio. We had to look very carefully and draw every little detail we could see. Thanks Miss Humphrey for bringing it in for us!

Large Ball Skills

We have started our Large Ball Skills unit in PE. So far we have been working hard on our chest passes, bounce passes and dribbling the ball with control.
